Fall is a great
time to wet your line in hopes of catching a variety of fish. Off
shore provides happy fishing for Wahoo, Tuna, King Mackeral, Marlin, and
Sailfish. From the flats and beach you might reel in Sea Trout,
Spottail Bass, Flounder, or Whiting. John Carpenter who fishes
from his boat kept on Horseshoe Creek says he uses to live shrimp and a
feathered gig for Trout in the Edisto River. He and his wife,
Carol are often spotted out in the river on a Saturday afternoon - after
the golf game, of course! |

Balzano, Captain, holding a prized 40 lb. Wahoo caught from John's
boat called ``Y Knot". When John was asked why he wanted such
a boat, he thought ``Why not?" Hence the name! Many
happy hours are spent with the Caldwells and friends on board.
