Jenkins Point in Its Final Phase

They just don't make them like this anymore.  A pristine setting that lies amid wild salt marshes and lush stately trees…a splendid view across the Bohicket River to Rockville that's saved for the Island's few residents…environmentally preserved, but improved by adding several hundred mature trees…all describe the Islands of Jenkins Point Plantation.

 With Phases I, II, and III sold out, developer Gen. Joseph Zink recently announced that the infrastructure at Jenkins Point, Phase IV is now complete and the lots are ready to sell.  ``All construction in terms of the water sewers and retention ponds, are done," states Gen. Zink.  ``The curbs and streets are paved, and all the landscaping is complete.  It's ready to go."

 According to Gen. Zink, all 18 of the lots in Phase IV have marsh views, except one.  That lot, an interior corner one, has a limited marsh view.  The majority of the lots face Rockville and Bohicket, including two shrimp docks across on Wadmalaw Island.  There is only limited property on Seabrook Island with these views.  Of the total 18 lots in Phase IV, 14 are available for sale.  Lot prices range from $400,000 to $750,000, still pre-development prices.

 ``Several of the lots we've sold in the earlier phases have re-sold for two and three times the original price," states Gen. Zink.  ``Re-sale prices are so high, it boggles the mind.  Buyers in Phase IV need to understand they are buying for the future.  If they don't buy a lot now, there probably won't be a chance to get any like these in a gated community with a golf course and an ocean.  These lots are rare finds."
